Brush & Gather
Portrait of Leslie, the watercolor artist and guided painting host behind Brush & Gather
Artist & Founder

Hi, I'm Leslie.

I'm the artist and founder behind Brush & Gather. I've always loved making things, and my background in art and design began with a bachelor's degree in graphic design. While I've spent much of my career working in design, watercolor became a creative outlet that I couldn't stop coming back to. I'm self-taught in watercolor, which has shaped the way I approach teaching it: with curiosity, experimentation, and a belief that you don't have to be an expert to make something beautiful.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to lead watercolor classes for women's events at my church and for residents at a local assisted living community. Those experiences taught me that the best part of painting isn't always the finished artwork—it's what happens around the table. People talk, laugh, encourage each other, try something new, and often surprise themselves with what they create. That's what inspired Brush & Gather.

I love bringing people together, putting a paintbrush in their hands, and taking some of the mystery out of watercolor. My goal isn't to turn everyone into an artist. It's to show you that watercolor can be approachable, enjoyable, and a whole lot less intimidating than it looks. Whether you're coming to a monthly painting experience, celebrating with friends at a mobile party, or bringing your team together for something different, I want you to leave with more than a painting. I want you to leave having enjoyed the time you spent creating it.
